For solicitors and other professionals
An accredited Family Mediation Council service, registered for the Family Mediation Voucher Scheme. Local, confidential and impartial, in person in Ince or by video.
What we offer your clients
- MIAMs, including urgent appointments within 48 hours, and court forms signed where mediation isn’t suitable or doesn’t go ahead
- Mediation on children, finance and property, often resolved within three or four sessions
- Child-inclusive mediation, so children’s views inform their parents’ plans
- Kinship mediation for special guardians and family carers
- Clear summaries of proposals, to help with drafting orders and legally binding documents
We work closely with local family solicitors, so clients can use mediation as a quicker, more cost-effective route than court, while still coming back to their solicitor for advice and documents. Our team has long experience with high-conflict cases.
Referring
We welcome referrals by phone, email or post, and we’re happy to hear from your clients directly. If you’re not sure a case is suitable, ring us to talk it through.
We don’t do Legal Aid work. If your client may be eligible, we’ll point them to a Legal Aid mediator.
Will I get feedback?
Mediation is confidential, so we can only tell you whether it went ahead. Professionals don’t usually attend, and anyone extra would need the agreement of everyone taking part.
